SATOA is a leading professional travel and tourism association that was formed in 1982. The main objectives of SATOA are to:
- to offer travellers information, as well as a passionate and knowledgeable holiday booking channel.
- offer the trade members marketing, PR and networking opportunities to Africa and the Indian Ocean islands.
SATOA members provide a passionate and unrivalled source of information about travel and tourism to the region. Their commitment to professionalism, coupled with their enthusiasm for this wonderful part of the world, helps to ensure the very best holiday experience both for first time travellers to the region and the considerable numbers making return trips.
SATOA members represent a wide range of expertise, including tourist boards, airlines, hotel groups, private game reserves or lodges, tour operators, car hire companies, representation, PR and marketing companies, and so on. We pride ourselves on allowing a range of companies to join us, irrespective of size.
